The public is invited to an opening reception at the Dishman Art Museum for KVÂ鶹ÊÓƵ: Rewind…In Pictures, Friday, July 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. This exhibit features archival photographs and memorabilia that highlight the early days (and people) of KVÂ鶹ÊÓƵ long before computer automation and digital media.

Prepare for hurricane season with the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Center for Resiliency Smartstorm disaster training and receive a backpack complete with emergency supplies to assist you and your family in the event of a disaster. Bring your participation verification to the Signature Center suites located in the Cherry Engineering Building on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Join us at Spindletop Boomtown Museum for an outdoor showing of "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days." Bring your comfy chair or blanket and let the stars be your backdrop for an unforgettable evening. Doors will open at 8 p.m., and the movie begins around 8:45 p.m. Food, concessions, and drinks will be available for purchase. Â鶹ÊÓƵ students can attend for free.

Join Spindletop Boomtown Museum for an evening of live music by Jamie Talbert, food, and local artist vendors at Boomtown Summer Serenade. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; and music is from 8 to 10 p.m. There will be a $5 general entry fee and free entry for Â鶹ÊÓƵ students. Â鶹ÊÓƵ students will receive a free food voucher with a valid student ID.
