President and First Lady Taylor invite all Â鶹ÊÓƵ faculty and staff to a holiday breakfast to enjoy. In the spirit of the season, please consider bringing an unwrapped toy or a food donation item(s) to benefit KFDM News' annual "ToyFeast" holiday donation drive which gives back to families in need in Southeast Texas. We will take part in a special delivery on the morning of Friday, Dec. 13 to show Southeast Texas the giving spirit of Â鶹ÊÓƵ.

There will be an Â鶹ÊÓƵPD training taking place at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Welcome Center this Thursday morning between 8 and 10 a.m. This is only a drill, and there is no cause for alarm.

Campus Update on Prohibited Technologies

Beginning Jan. 6, 2025, Â鶹ÊÓƵ IT Services division will expand the list of prohibited technologies in accordance with the Governor's directive. The list will include covered applications such as: Alipay, QQ Wallet, and WeChat.

Note: This will not affect user access in the residence halls.

Boomtown Holiday Hours
Spindletop Boomtown Museum Holiday Hours

Come take a tour through Boomtown City in Lights this holiday season. Admission is free for all Â鶹ÊÓƵ students, faculty, and staff. Open Dec. 1- Dec. 29. Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Sunday 1 - 9 p.m. Last admission is at 8 p.m. Museum will be closed Dec. 24, 25, 31.

Submissions open Oct. 15 - Dec. 15. Categories for submission: poetry, fiction, art, screenplays, scholarly essays, creative nonfiction, poetry translation. $100 prizes will be awarded for each category. Animeals Pet Food Drive

Deadline: Monday, Dec. 16, 5 p.m.
Location: Galloway Building, Room 102

The will conclude on Monday, Dec. 16 at 5 p.m. Please drop off any donations of dry dog or cat food and wet dog or cat food to Galloway Building Room 102. Donations received support Animeals, a program of Nutrition & Services for Seniors (Meals on Wheels).

3rd Annual Graduate Research Conference

Deadline: Wednesday, Dec. 18, 5 p.m.
