Academic Council

Charge:  The Academic Affairs Council is responsible for advising the Provost on issues related to academic policies and the quality of instruction across all University programs. The Council reviews program proposals in any discipline, communicates recommended academic policies to department chairs, and proposes policies related to academic procedures. Additionally, the council recommends changes in academic practices that enhance instruction and uphold academic standards.

Membership & Reporting:  Members are current deans; appointment of other members by Provost; Provost chairs and gives charge to the committee.
