NEW BUSINESS

  • Repairs & Maintenance
    • Currently have 6 work orders pending. Facilities signed a painting contractor and have been knocking out jobs on our list.
    • Update on parking lot closures and gate repairs: bollards to be installed to protect badge readers at E-1 gates; E-1, D-5 badge readers are now repaired.
    • Criminal mischief charges: student drove through closed E-1 gate, parked and went to class. The offender has 22 unpaid violations for parking in reserved spots and has never purchased a permit in the two years he has attended Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
  • Citations issued have quadrupled, as have appeals. New process for appeal acceptance. Appeals without merit such as no permit tickets or misuse of ADA hang tags will be checked for validity before going to committee.
  • Student requests to committee: BOTH REQUESTS TABLED UNTIL NEXT MEETING DUE TO LOW MEETING ATTENDANCE.
    • SGA: would like some of reserved spots in G-2 (lot between Reaud and STEM) opened for general parking. Committee member Diann Brodnax offered to keep an eye on reserved usage in G-2 so committee would be better informed when making a decision.
    • Graduate Student Assistant: would like degreed student workers to have access to reserved parking.
