Call to Order: 3:30 pm

Meeting began with Dr. Jator asking for volunteers to Chair this committee. Shelly nominated Dr. Jator, Gossage seconded the nomination, and all voted in favor of Dr. Jator as the Chair of the UUCC.

Approval of Minutes:

• Motion to approve the past meeting minutes was called by Jator. Sujing moved the motion, Zanthia Smith seconded the motion, and the motion passed unanimously.

Business:   

• Jator updated the committee (some new members) pm the December and January online meetings. Shelly updated about the online votes and brought up the issue about the individual courses for the 2 new programs (BS Leadership studies and BA Education non-certification) not being available at that time. So, a motion was made by Sujing to now approve those individual courses, Mandal Seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
• David Short talked about the Course Leaf implementation. He said that this new platform will be used for all curriculum changes.
• UUCC members have access to add in comments, on the dashboard. All chairs and contacts provided by the chairs will have access to Course leaf. Individual faculty will not be able to access it.
• For a new topic within special topic courses, just need to add syllabus.
• For course pre-requisites to be added to an already existing course with a syllabus uploaded, no new syllabus is needed.
• UUCC members will still meet in person and discuss the proposals.

COMM1321 and 2335 (new item):

• Changed course numbers, everything is fine.
• Nemmers motioned to accept, Hernandez seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.

Adjourn: Motion to Adjourn at 4 pm by Nemmers; Seconded by Sujing and was unanimously approved.

Next meeting: March 17^th, 3.30 pm.
