Â鶹ÊÓƵ tapped No. 1 in 'Top Masters in Education'

Top Masters in Education, an independent resource for educators looking to enhance their own educational foundation, has published its first annual Best Value ranking of the top schools for online Master of Education programs in the United States.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ is at the top of the list of 35 schools this year. Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College of Education and Human Development offers a Master of Education in 10 different program areas with additional focused concentrations in educational leadership, counseling and special populations.  Programs average 36 credit hours in length with supervised internships throughout the course of study.

With a concise program of high academic excellence coupled with low tuition, as compared to similar programs, Â鶹ÊÓƵ should be on any prospective student's list of institutions to consider according to the online guide.  The full listing can be found at:

Schools and programs were evaluated based on publicly available information about accreditation, academic quality, student satisfaction, reputation in the field and cost. Hugo Saucedo, editor of the online guide, determined which were the lowest priced, highest quality, regionally accredited residential M.Ed. programs. Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College of Education and Human Development is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education ().

“We believe this list offers a great starting point for students seeking an accredited, affordable, top quality program that suits their needs, and shines a spotlight on the listed programs,” Saucedo said.

“There has been much debate about the value and cost of education,” Saucedo said. “Often students leave college not only with a degree, but also saddled with a great deal of debt. The schools on this list are not only academically superior, but are also a superior value and offer students an opportunity for advancement in their careers. In addition, many of these programs hire experts in their given fields, which only enhances the value of the course offerings. This ranking covers every region of the United States and links potential students to well-researched program information.”

An independent and comprehensive guide to earning a Master's in Education degree, Top Masters in Education provides education students with news and stories on the state of the education field, and career advice from knowledgeable and experienced educators who have been there.
