Â鶹ÊÓƵ ranked best value school for entrepreneurial studies bachelor’s degree

Courseadvisor.com has ranked Â鶹ÊÓƵ the No. 1 best value school for entrepreneurial studies CourseAdvisor students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Texas.

Course Advisor researches and compiles study area information, career overviews and more to create ranking lists for collegiate institutions. They also rely on information from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the National Center for Education Statistics. This list is put together from an assessment of 11 accredited colleges and universities around Texas, and rankings are determined on the value an institution has to a student relative to how affordable tuition is.

“We want our students to be prepared to become entrepreneurs or to work closely with entrepreneurs,” said Marleen Swerdlow, J.D., professor in the College of Business. “Our online program allows students to do their course work while still working full-time jobs and raising their families. Most of the courses are provided in eight-week sessions.”

Students are provided a strong core of business classes, as well as upper level courses in cost accounting, intermediate finance, human resource management and specific entrepreneurship courses in economics, marketing and management. In addition to courses provided on campus, the online students have the same professors or instructors that teach on-campus programs, and the objectives of the classes are identical.

“Our program provides our students a strong program in entrepreneurship at a reasonable value, but I also believe we do that for our other majors in the College of Business as well,” said Swerdlow.
