Applying to the M.S. PA Program

Submit all applicaton materials at least 30 days prior to the start of the semester in which you wish to begin studies. Upon receipt of all university-required documents, the admissions office will forward your file to your desired academic department for an admission decision.

Required Application Materials

  1. An admissions application completed online through the Apply Texas system
  2. Official transcripts from each college or university attended, including the accredited institution from which you earned a bachelor’s degree
  3. GMAT scores: The GMAT is administered by the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Career and Testing Center. Scores may not be more than five years old.

Admission Requirements

Our formula for determining admission takes into account your undergraduate grade point average (GPA) and your score on the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test):

(GPA x 200) + GMAT score = 1,050

Admission can also be determined based on your GPA for the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework.  Points from the formula above using the GPA for the last 60 hours of coursework would need to equal or exceed 1,100.

If you have an undergraduate degree in accounting from an accredited domestic university, you must have earned a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA in all undergraduate accounting courses and a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 to be admitted M.S. PA program.

Application Deadlines

Domestic applications must be received 30 days before fall, spring, or summer registration

International applications must be received by the following dates:

Fall Term
Priority deadline: April 15
Final deadline: July 1

Spring Term
Priority deadline: Sept. 1
Final deadline: Dec. 1

Summer Term
Priority deadline: Jan. 15
Final deadline: April 15

GMAT Waivers

GMAT score cannot be waived unless the applicant meets one of the following criteria:

  • Applicant has a Ph.D., J.D., M.D. or other terminal degree
  • Applicant earned an undergraduate accounting degree from an accredited domestic university with a minimum accounting GPA of 3.0 and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Applicant earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in accounting leveling courses taken at Â鶹ÊÓƵ as a post baccalaureate student
  • Student has successfully completed the Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting from Â鶹ÊÓƵ
