Distance Learning Education Options

Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s online programs are especially popular for working adults and active duty military personnel. As part of the State of Texas Grad TX program, Â鶹ÊÓƵ offers multiple flexible degree completion programs, including an accelerated online bachelor’s degree, designed to help students return to college and earn a bachelor's degree.

Younger students interested in earning college and high school credit at the same time also benefit from Â鶹ÊÓƵ's online programs.

You can choose from a variety of courses offered through online/distance education, including the complete core curriculum and upper-level classes from almost every department. Several undergraduate and graduate degrees may be completed entirely through online/distance education.

How to Apply

Just like on-campus students, prospective online/distance education students must first apply for admission through the statewide Apply Texas system.

Students entering a bachelor’s degree program should also have official transcripts sent by all colleges or universities previously attended. Prospective graduate students should provide GRE scores and official transcripts from all colleges or universities previously attended.

Accelerated
Online Programs

Take advantage of accelerated online schedules with a variety of start dates in many degree programs.

  • Current teachers can earn a master’s degree in education in as little as 18 months with classes offered in five-week sessions.
  • Accelerated bachelor’s degree programs offers include the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, Bachelor of General Studies and Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences, which allows students to earn experiential credit.
  • Most classes in the bachelor’s degree programs are offered in eight-week sessions.

Traditional
Online Schedules

You can pursue online courses offered in traditional 15-week semester sessions. These courses allow students to complete any of five bachelor's degree programs:

  • Computer Science
  • Industrial Technology
  • General Studies,
  • Applied Arts and Sciences
  • RN to Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Two master’s degree programs are available in nursing and in health promotions.

We also offer a doctorate in education (Ed.D.) online.

High School
Dual Credit

High school juniors and seniors in Texas are able to earn college and high school credit simultaneously.

Application fees are waived, and payment plans are available.
